Everybody loves macaroni and cheese, including dogs! This easy recipe takes basic macaroni and cheese and kicks it up a notch for your dog with the addition of cream cheese and tuna. It’s paw-licking good!
Macaroni and Cheese Plus Kong Stuffing Recipe
- noodles
- grated cheese
- tuna
- cream cheese
- Plug the small hole at the end of the Kong with a dab of cream cheese.
- Mix together the noodles with pieces of tuna and a bit of grated cheese. Spoon the mixture into the Kong.
- Cover over the large hole at the bottom of the Kong with more cream cheese. Serve as-is or freeze for later use.
Ingredient Notes
Plain noodles with no added salt should be cooked according to package directions and allowed to cool before serving.
Choose your dog’s favorite cheese for grating. Use sparingly as cheese tends to be high in sodium.
I use canned tuna – water packed if your dog is watching calories, or oil packed to help keep their coat shiny. Choose a low sodium variety with no added flavors and drain before using.
Cream cheese should be plain, low fat, with no added flavors or sweeteners.
