Kong Stuffing: Bad Breath Buster

Everybody likes dog kisses, but some dogs have breath that is bad enough to knock you over! This recipe combines several natural breath freshening ingredients to help sweeten your best friend’s breath.

Bad Breath Buster Kong Stuffing Recipe

  • apple slices
  • plain yogurt
  • charcoal biscuit
  • mint
  • parsley
  1. Stuff a piece of apple in the small hole in the end of the Kong. Set the Kong upside down in a coffee mug.
  2. Place apple slices inside the Kong.
  3. Mix a pinch of mint and parsley with your yogurt, then spoon the yogurt into the Kong.
  4. Stick a charcoal biscuit in the end with a bit sticking outside of the Kong. Place the mug and Kong into the freezer.
  5. Serve once frozen. Remember to choose your treating location carefully as frozen Kongs can make a mess!

Ingredient Notes

Apple slices should have all seeds and stems removed.

Yogurt should be plain (not vanilla!) and low fat. Choose a type with no added flavors or sweeteners.

The charcoal biscuit can be any type you choose – we use the Old Mother Hubbard biscuits.

You can pick the mint and parsley fresh from your herb garden, or use dried herbs. Use just a pinch in this recipe.
