Kong Stuffing: Chicken and Rice

When you think of classic American comfort food, chicken and rice is one of the first meals that comes to mind. This simple recipe includes vegetables to give your dog a variety of tastes and textures.

Chicken and Rice Kong Stuffing Recipe

  • boiled chicken
  • plain white rice
  • carrots
  • peas
  1. Use a piece of carrot to plug the small hole in the Kong.
  2. Mix together the chicken, rice, and vegetables and spoon into the Kong.
  3. Serve right away, or set the Kong upright in a mug and top off with plain, unsalted chicken broth to freeze for later.

Ingredient Notes

Remove the fat from your chicken, boil, allow to coil and shred or cut into small chunks. Use plain chicken with no added flavors or salt.

Use fully cooked, plain unsalted white rice.

You can cook your own fresh carrot slices and peas, or use defrosted frozen ones. Choose a plain, unsalted variety.
